ABOUT ME

I am inspired by billowing wedding veils and beach side weddings. And hanging wedding dresses
in wait of a bride. I am in awe of newborn babies. The soft, flaky new skin is such a miracle.
I love what I do & it shows in every photo I take for you. I’m easy going, I laugh a lot & make
sure that you do, too! Working together, we will get the best results that uniquely captures
your treasured memories.

I never knew I’d end up a wedding & children’s photographer. Looking back I could have seen the
path more clearly. (In my defense, the path had lots of twists & turns.) In the end, my initial
career as a psychologist taught me how to see and capture emotions in a way that I don’t think
would have been possible had I simply chosen a field like graphic arts or photography.

The era of digital photography is where I began. Truth is, film always perplexed me. Yes, it was
fascinating, but I am most comfortable in the digital darkroom (KUDOS to my 'bff': Photoshop)!
I began with a beloved Olympus 3030 camera a number of years ago, given to me as a gift by my
husband. (I don’t think I even asked for that, another surprise!) A new world opened up and I
photographed every bug, flower and landscape I passed. I wanted more! I began photographing
people and never looked back. I was in heaven. My first two beach weddings were amazing & today
I still love those pictures. By that time I had evolved into a Canon shooter & today, my lens
line up costs more than the birth of my child. That’s fine, because they’re my babies, too!

I prefer using natural light and to keep my style simple, natural & organic. However, I am
skilled in using off camera lighting when the shot calls for it to get the best results. I
jokingly say I use only 'available light' and when necessary I always have off camera lighting
'available'. When our photo shoot is done, beyond capturing your memories, I hope you will be
happy to call me your friend, you know, the friend that loves to run at the beach, eat chocolate,
laughs way too much at her own jokes and packs a fancy camera.
